Nocturne Series Partners with Leading Industry Brands

15/04/09

The 2009 Nocturne Series events in Edinburgh, London and Blackpool will be supported by leading industry brands Highland Spring, Red Bull and Malmaison hotels.

The Nocturne Series has taken city cycle racing to a new standard building on the success of the inaugural Smithfield Nocturne in 2007. Founding partners Rapha and Condor have reinforced the Nocturne’s reputation for quality which has helped attract association with some of the UK’s top brands.

“Increasing numbers of people are being drawn to cycling and bike racing in the UK, many of them new to the sport,” said Rapha’s Chief Executive Simon Mottram. “We created the Nocturne Series with FACE to entertain both this new audience and traditional riders alike, with a new level of quality and professionalism to reflect the excitement around our sport. The Nocturnes are the perfect platform for brands who want to associate with the most exciting sport in the country.”

Red Bull will continue to give wings to the Nocturne Series as Official Energy Partner for 2009. Competitors will be able to prepare for races in the exclusive Red Bull rider enclosure which will include entertainment and refreshment throughout the Series. Also present at each city will be the Red Bull event vehicle equipped with sound system and DJ.

Highland Spring is the number one UK produced bottled water brand, and will be the Official Water Partner for the Nocturne Series. The reassuringly pure spring water from the Ochil Hills in Perthshire will keep competitors hydrated before, during and after their events at the Nocturne Series.

Leading hotel chain Malmaison has a presence in all Nocturne Series cities and will be hosting Nocturne guest riders and VIPs. Malmaison London is the Official Hotel Partner for the Smithfield Nocturne providing excellent room rates as part of the luxury hospitality package.

The Nocturne Series kicks off in Edinburgh on the 30th May, before moving to Smithfield Market in London on the 6th June and Blackpool on the 1st August.
