The Edinburgh Nocturne will take place around a 1.2km circuit in the Grassmarket area in the centre of Edinburgh.

 

The course will be the toughest of the Series and includes a steep cobbled climb up Victoria Street just past the start/finish area. The climb leads onto George IV Bridge and then a sharp turn for a fast descent back down into the Grassmarket. The riders will then loop around the bottom of the Grassmarket for the final sprint up the cobbled north side of the Grassmarket (see photo below).

 

 

The Grassmarket is now classed as an events venue making the location perfect for the Nocturne. Within the centre of the Grassmarket there will be plenty of attractions and entertainment to complement the pubs and bars that line the finish straight.
