The Race

Competitors will be assembled on the start line on their Cycle Hire bike. At the drop of the flag they will race two laps of the challenging Blackpool Nocturne circuit. As riders cross the line on the final lap they must dismount their bike and correctly dock in the docking stations which will be positioned after the finish line. Our judges will be on hand to check the bikes are docked correctly so speed off the bike may be just as crucial as speed on the bike.

 

The competition will be run as a series of heats with the best placed riders making it to the grand final later in the race programme. The winner will receive an official Team Sky helmet as their prize as well as 40 hours cycle hire credit.

 

All competitors will get to access the rider pit area with complimentary water and Red Bull to keep the energy levels topped up!

• 1st prize - Team Sky helmet and 40 extra hours cycle hire credit
• 2nd prize - 30 extra hours cycle hire credit
• 3rd prize - 20 extra hours cycle hire credit
